David Garfinkel Bio
I have over 35 years of extensive experience in all areas of family law. I specialize in high asset divorce and custody itigation. My practice includes cases involving custody, parental alientation, alimony, legitimation,  paternity, child support,  contempt, enforcement and prenuptial and post nuptial agreement issues.  I have received numerous awards such as a Best Lawyer in America, a top 100 Georgia and Florida Family Law Attorney, Martindale Hubbel AV rated preeminent lawyer, by Legal Elite, and by Super Lawyers. I am Board Certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in Marital and Family Law. I also have been a leader both in the legal profession and in the community. I have served as a director and chairman on multiple boards. While practicing in Florida, I has served on the Executive Council of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. While serving as co-chairman of the Florida Family Law Equitable Distribution Committee, I co-drafted the current Florida Equitable Distribtion. I have lectured frequently to attorneys and law students on various marital and family law topics. In addition to this involvement, I am admitted to the bars of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. My wife and I relocated to Atlanta  four years ago to join our three children and their families. I have three adult children who all reside in Atlanta and two incredibly precious granddaughters and one on the way.  My hobbies include spending quality time with my family. I am a passionate University of Georgia football fan.
