I have been practicing law for over 50 years.  For over 15 years I taught divorce law and litigation skills in fmaily law related issues at DePaul University College of Law.  I lectured and wrote extensively on the topic of family law and trial and appellate practice.. My achievements and qualifications have been widely recognized.  For example, I have been listed in every edition of the book The Best Laywers in America.  Further, I have been honored by the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and was the 2002 receipient of the prestigious Samual S. Berger Award for my contributions to the law profession.  In addition, I have been recogznied by the Leading Lawyers Network as being among the top lawyers in Illinois in family law.  In 2007, I was named one of the top 10 and top 100 consumer lawyers in Illinois.  Under the Martindale-Hubbell (R) Laywer Rating System, I received an AV rating indicating that I "have reached the height of professional excellence" and "was recognized for the highest level of skill and integrity."  Also, I was named as one of the top 100 Illinois Super Lawyers in 2012.  Illinois Super Lawyers are selected by their peers and are "considered among the best in their profession" and "represent the top 5% of the practicing attorneys in Illinois."  In 2014 I was named "Lawyer of the Year" in Family Law in the Chicago metro area by Best Lawers in America.
