He also served as a managing partner at Heyman & Schlaich, P.A. where he focused on civil and criminal litigation and the firm’s personal injury practice, ranging from soft tissue to catastrophic injury. Fred started his career as a associate at a then large insurance defense firm in Baltimore, and brings the knowledge of “how the other side thinks” to his current practice.. Fred’s passion has always been helping those who are the victims of medical negligence and catastrophic personal injury.. After spending three years at the University of Maryland’s College Park campus, Fred then received his B.A. (Cum Laude) in political science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1984.
