Tim Jacobson has been recognized as a Wisconsin "Super Lawyer," as well as an Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and a best-selling novelist. A dedicated conservationist, Tim has worked as a conservancy executive director and served as president of a nonprofit public-interest environmental law firm, as well as serving as president of an 11-lawyer traditional firm. His legal work has included representing Wisconsin commercial corn growers as part of $110 million settlement of nationwide class action lawsuit with claims arising from genetically-modified “StarLink” corn. With co-counsel, he achieved a multimillion-dollar settlement of an environmental class action on behalf of 300 property owners. More recently, his legal practice has concentrated on pursuing environmental nuisance claims against frac sand mining companies. He has successfully appealed circuit court and administrative decisions, including obtaining victories before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Iowa Supreme Court, and defeating an opponent's petition for certiorari before the U.S. Supreme Court.
