David B. Packard has represented thousands of individuals in bankruptcy court in Texas over the past 20 years.  He specializes in helping consumers, families, and small business reorganize their debts.  He has been board certified in consumer bankruptcy law since 2001, and continues to file chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases in San Antonio. His passion is to customize chapter 13 plans to meet the needs of struggling families.. Having graduated with a BS in Economics in 1990 from BYU, and having received his JD in 1994 from J. Reuben Clark School of Law, David is licensed to practice in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas as well as all Texas Courts.. David is a Partner at the Packard Law Firm in San Antonio, and former Partner at Packard LaPray in Beaumont, Texas and Lake Charles, Louisiana. The Packard Law Firm consists of Samuel Packard who exclusively represents Social Security clients, and who is Board Certified in Social Security Law; Michael Packard, who practices Social Security and Criminal Law, and Dustin Draper, who practices Social Security Law and Personal Injury.. As a point of interest, David comes from a family of attorneys. His father, Bernard E. Packard, has been a Criminal Attorney for the past 48 years, and four of his brothers are also attorneys.  He also has five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law who are attorneys.  The remaining two brothers are physicians, one practicing in San Antonio, and the other in Houston.   His mother, the late Sarah H. Packard, died of Lou Gehrig’s disease in 1994, and she has been the inspiration of the brothers to continue working together.  Several of the brothers handle social security cases, having represented many people who suffer from a form of either MD or motor neuron disease.. He is married to Emmeline with six children, the four youngest attending school in San Antonio. During his spare time, David loves playing basketball, running half-marathons, and playing the trumpet.
