Tim Warner is a corporate and business consultant, litigator, problem solver and trusted legal advisor to corporate entities and individuals. Tim represents clients on everything from “save the client” problems to day-to-day legal issues. Pulling from his background in business and commercial litigation, Tim has become a first-call attorney for his clients; providing assistance related to general commercial, business, employment, real estate and executive compensation issues.. In addition to his consulting practice, Tim serves as Chairman of Cavitch’s Litigation Group and continues to serve as a trial attorney, aggressively litigating complex commercial, business, shareholder, partnership, employment, trade secrets, non-competition, real estate, product liability, banking and trust and estate/probate matters, as well as handling class action and multidistrict litigation matters in state and federal courts. Tim also consults related to ERISA and litigates ERISA matters.. Tim has also had the opportunity to handle and resolve million-dollar personal injury and related plaintiffs’ disputes, which he typically handles as a favor to clients and their friends and relatives to insure attentive, personal representation in their intense time of need.. Tim previously served as the Chairman of the Litigation Section of the Cleveland Bar Association and has been recognized as one of Ohio’s “Super Lawyers” for a number of years. Tim previously served as a law clerk with the Honorable Alice M. Batchelder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He also previously served as an Adjunct Professor at the Cleveland Marshall College of Law and, prior to attending law school, spent four years working for Members of the United States House of Representatives.. As a result of his commitment to assist his client wherever he is needed, Tim has had the opportunity to represent clients in California, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington State, as well as in Ohio.. Tim was recently named to the Leadership Cleveland class of 2016. He is also a member of the Community Advisory Committee of WVIZ/ideastream and is active in his community, where he serves as Chairman of the Westlake Civil Service Commission, and in his church where he serves as a Lay Minister. Tim also recently served as a member of the Board of Directors of The Gathering Place (a caring community for those touched by cancer) where he served as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee.. Tim is admitted to practice in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.. A graduate with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Syracuse University College of Law, Tim served as an editor of the Syracuse University Law Review and was one of only six students who had his Law Review Note published. While a third year student at Syracuse, he was honored to be chosen to teach a first year legal writing course.
