Jason spent the first twenty years of his career defending insurance companies and employers in disputes with injured workers. During this time, he saw firsthand the strategies insurance companies use to try to limit their liability to their injured workers.. After deciding to leave the world of insurance defense litigation, Jason is now ready to use those same strategies and the insight he gained by helping injured workers receive the full extent of the compensation they deserve. Jason has handled numerous cases before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the North Carolina Supreme Court.. In addition, Jason has participated in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations in workers’ compensation as well as civil litigation disputes over his more than a twenty-year career.. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, cooking, traveling and following the UNC Tar Heels and Carolina Panthers. Jason also has an affinity for Appalachian State University athletics due to the fact that his father and brother are both graduates of that institution and are ardent supporters of the Mountaineer football team.
