  I’ve been issued a criminal summons in Arizona Grand Jury Indicted me for 3 serious felonies (20 years old now but charges filed are from when I was 19 and this is my first offense) My question is once I appear at my arraignment how likely am I to be taken into custody ? No warrant has been issued, so will I just be given my release conditions take fingerprints and mugshot and be free to go under Pretrial supervision ? Don’t tell me to hire an attorney, I have 2 attorneys one of which I just hired for these charges specifically but the don’t give me a straight percent they speak in riddles and say “well you have a good argument to stay out of custody” and “if they wanted you in custody they could have just issued a warrant and came to your house” Location: Arizona

  Location: Phoenix Arizona I filed an internal grievance against my boss for discrimination after he accused me of retaliating against a coworker after using 5 paid sick days for the flu(i had submitted a positive flu test with a doctors note). I recorded the meeting with the hr director in regards to the grievance and was assured everything would be handled and to expect a reset meeting to strengthen communication. The next day, my boss was flown in from Riverside, California and asked me to go to the office with him. I also recorded this session as well given given its a one party state. He wrote me up for allegedly telling my boss 5 days prior that “I’m not coming in” for a shift where I woke up late. A few weeks, he flew in again to give me a performance review, which was very positive. I recorded that session as well but confronted him on the details of the write up, where he admitted that he told me to stay home and rest because I seemed very tired. My vacation time for that day was also approved . Even with the evidence I brought to the employer, they still decided to close my claim and there was never a reset meeting. Do I have validity for a retaliation claim? I also suffered a documented breach of confidentiality that ruined my reputation within the company.

  Location: Washington State I began a job on Monday, July 6th, and worked there for four days. I couldn't come in that Friday or the Monday after, which I called in for, but they fired me for it anyway. I know Washington's an at-will state, so that's not my concern, I'm just giving the timeline. They pay employees every Friday, but didn't have my check when they fired me the following Tuesday (July 14th). I was told as they fired me that they'd have it "next Friday" (which I assumed meant the Friday of next week, July 24th), however I went in to get it and they still don't have it. I'm not sure if they actually didn't get it or if it was just misplaced. They told me to email the headquarters (in Arizona if it matters) and the headquarters responded that they can PayPal me the money, set up a seperate payroll and pay me that way, or resend the check to the location I worked at in a 24-48 hour time period (which seems to imply that my location misplaced the check). I have already responded to them that I want them to resend the check to the location. The 24 hours hasn't passed yet, but a couple hours after the interaction my dad said that it's illegal for them to not have my check yet, and that I could potentially get more money from them.
