  • Got rear-ended by an armored truck company — should I get a lawyer involved? | Aug 9, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

LOCATION: ARIZONA I was rear-ended by an armored money truck company 3 days ago, and they were found at fault. My 2023 Tacoma TRD Off-Road (fully loaded, ~48k miles) is probably going to be totaled. I also know someone who used to work for the company and handled claims. They told me the company supposedly pays up to around $300k before taking things to court, but I have no idea how accurate that is. I haven’t heard anything from their insurance yet, so I filed a claim with my own insurance too. For anyone who’s dealt with something similar: would you get a lawyer involved now, or try handling the claim yourself and only get one if things get complicated? Also, is 3 days without hearing from their insurance normal? Anything else I should be doing in the meantime? Appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

  • Question about a restraining order. | Aug 8, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona So my gf put a restraining order on her baby daddies gf due to her harassing my gf and her daughter. If her baby daddy called his gf on FaceTime and their daughter talked to her on the FaceTime is that against the order? Her daughter is listed as other protected person on the order. But on the order for protected persons (which is her daughter) is not checked marked does that go against order?

  • AZ - Can I recover a non-refundable $500 puppy deposit in small claims when the specific litter produced zero puppies? | Aug 4, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona (Maricopa County) I paid a $500 deposit under a written contract for a specific Standard Poodle litter from named parents. The contract listed the exact pairing and included a due date. It states that once the litter has been bred, deposits are non-refundable, and if the selected color/sex is not born the deposit moves to the next litter. At the time I signed the contract and paid the deposit, the breeder’s communications led me to believe the female was pregnant and that puppies from that pairing were expected on or around the stated due date. The breeder never disclosed any uncertainty about the pregnancy. Later, after the due date passed with no puppies, the breeder stated she had not even been sure the female was pregnant. That specific litter produced zero puppies. The breeder then said the deposit would roll to a later litter. I declined due to changed circumstances and requested a refund. The breeder refused, citing the non-refundable clause. The contract does not explicitly address what happens if no litter is produced at all. Questions: 1. Under Arizona law, does the complete failure of the contracted litter (with a stated due date and no disclosure of pregnancy uncertainty) entitle me to a refund despite the “non-refundable” language? 2. Is this the type of claim that small claims court (Justice Court) can handle, and is the non-refundable clause likely enforceable when the original litter never existed? I have the signed contract, proof of payment, and the message…

  • Dismissed and Sealed Domestic Violence Assault - Arizona | Aug 1, 2026 | Sourced from Reddit

Location: Arizona I'm a 25F in my senior year of college, majoring in Management Information Systems, with a 3.8 GPA. As graduation gets closer, I'm becoming increasingly anxious about what employment will look like for me. In 2022, when I was 21, I was arrested after a physical fight with my younger sister, who was 18 at the time. I completed a diversion program, the charges were dismissed, and under Arizona law I was able to have the case sealed, which I did. Because the case was dismissed and sealed, I'm not sure whether it would still appear on more extensive background checks. This is something no one in my life knows about, not even my sister. It was completely out of character for me, and it's not something anyone who knows me would ever expect. Since then, my sister and I became very close. She even named her daughter after me. I don't hold any resentment toward her for calling the police. At the time, she believed it was the right thing to do. What I'm struggling with now is the fear of how this could affect my future. My goal is to work in tech consulting, ideally for a large company. Will this prevent me from working at major corporations? Could it affect my ability to work for the government or obtain a security clearance if I ever wanted to? This is, without question, the biggest regret of my life. I think about it constantly, and it genuinely…
