Karen Stafford’s practice is primarily focused on insurance coverage, insurance bad faith litigation, general commercial litigation and appellate law.  Ms. Stafford advises clients on a wide range of complex insurance issues, including first party property claims, third party liability claims, and bad faith actions.  Ms. Stafford has experience in all aspects of civil litigation and trial preparation.. Ms. Stafford is a graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where she served as both a staff writer and research editor of the Arizona State University Law Journal and participated in the leadership of various pro bono organizations.  Ms. Stafford has also served as an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

J.P. Harrington Bisceglia is a partner at Christian Dichter & Sluga, P.C. Her primary practice areas are insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation. Super Lawyers Rising Stars selected her for their annual list since 2014 through 2020. She has earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rating, was invited to be an Associate Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America (“LCA”) in 2016, and was invited to be an LCA Fellow in 2020.. Ms. Harrington Bisceglia graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Marine Science/Biology. I have been practicing in Phoenix since 1982, initially working exclusively for insurance companies - either defending their insureds in personal injury cases or defending the insurers themselves in coverage situations or against bad faith claims. After several years I took on a few plaintiffs and then, by word of mouth referrals from clients, my plaintiff's practice began to grow and eventually left little time for defense work. My practice is now split about equally.. My experience from both sides gives me a unique perspective, and one that I believe is very beneficial to clients. I have purposefully remained in a small firm so that your contact is either directly with me or another lawyer with no less than 7 years of experience - your case is not shuffled off to some new associate for "training" purposes.. We don't advertise, and we don't brag - we just work hard for our clients to get them everything they deserve.

I am very much a person who wants to help people.  Taking on a defendant in a large case can be overwhelmingly frustrating and difficult unless you're properly represented. My personal commitment toovercoming those challenges and frustrations has helped me create a unique practice - a boutique litigation firm focusing on serious personal injury and wrongful death.  In my twenty years of practice I have developed the skill set and resources to handle the larger, more complex cases.
