After a couple of years, Clyde realized he missed living in a city that had four seasons; however, he was conflicted about returning to New York, as he did not miss the traffic. Prior to attending law school, Clyde worked as a litigation paralegal for Animal Rights Attorney. Together they represented dogs who were deemed dangerous and scheduled to be euthanized by local towns. Using state pet trust statutes, they were able to gain legal standing to represent the dog, rather than the original owner. Representing the dog rather than the owner made many of the local towns more willing to settle their cases as the towns did not have to fear the dog being returned to an often irresponsible dog owner..
