Judi Setzer was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. In 1985 she graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Asian Studies (concentration in Japanese language) and Classical Studies. Her professional memberships include the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the National Christian Legal Society.

Location: Florida and Georgia Leased in Florida, registered in Georgia My wife decided to lease a car and we have had several issues with the transaction. 1. Dealer had her sign the paperwork four times. Never disclosed the changes to her. Just a text saying please sign. 2. Dealer added in a warranty package and a key package that were never disclosed. We received the paperwork and her signature was forged. 3. Date of the lease is a day earlier than the actual lease. A sheet for Georgia was signed in this date and notarized even though she never showed her ID or signed in front on a notary. 4. The dealer took too much for taxes and then didn’t send enough to Georgia and we had to pay out of pocket $600+ to register. There was a charge for a third part tax company yet we had to provide the address to them of where to send it (and they sent the wrong amount). There are a couple of other paperwork issues that I discovered. We reached out to the dealer and they acknowledged the receipt but have since cut off all communications. Honda corporate has said there is nothing they can do. What are the best options? We are considering a lawyer but probably not a big enough issue for them to consider. Thanks.

Location: Florida. In August 2025 I was hit by a dump truck while driving my vehicle. I was the only one in my vehicle, I wasn’t hurt but went to the hospital just in case, and the dump truck driver admitted fault to the police. The other insurance company has paid me for the diminished value of my vehicle and they have paid the subrogation as well. In March of this year the other insurance company offered me $2000 if I sign an all claims release. My insurance company said they don’t use claims releases themselves but that I might be better off not signing it because who knows what the other insurance is up to. I did a free lawyer consultation and they did not read the release but said I could be expected to pay costs back to my own insurance company if I accept the release money. The release that they want me to sign says: “In Consideration of Two Thousand and 00/100’s dollars ($2,000.00), the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, [redacted name], the “Undersigned”, does and for his/her heirs, executors, administrators, successors, privies, and assigns, release and discharge [redacted name] and its/their heirs, executors, administrators, agents, insurers, insureds and assigns, and all other persons, firms or corporations liable or who may be liable, none of whom admit any liability, but all expressly deny any liability, from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, demands, rights, damages, costs, loss of value, loss of…

Location: Florida So, I live in the state of Florida. I was employed at a Walgreens for just under a year, first job. Two days ago, i'm working an extra shift 12-5pm. Location: NC to FL, USA I bought a Honda Civic in 2016. Paid it off in 2018. 2018, I was in the process of moving out of my parents house. All my records had their address. My lienholder told us they’d mail us the title. Excellent. May 2025, I move to Florida. November 2025, I go to get my license and registration. I can’t get my car registered because I don’t have a physical title. This is the first I process my lienholder never mailed it to us. December 2025, I learn my lienholder has shuddered their doors and closed their business. They also never released my lien. I get guidance from the NCDMV to submit a lost title form after I received a bounced back & unopened certified letter from their address. They’ll release my lien. I work in theme parks, holidays is the craziest time of year. February 2026, I get to send the letter out to lienholder’s address on file. April 2026, I get my bounced back letter. I collect my packet for the DMV, get it notarized and sent off. May 2026, the DMV sends their letter to the address on file and wait for it to bounce back to them. I call. I’m trying to figure out what my immigration options are and would really appreciate some advice. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve been in the U.S. for about 10 years. I came here with my parents on a tourist visa when I was under 18, and we applied for asylum after we arrived. I’m still under my parents’ asylum case. I was also married to a U.S. citizen, but we never filed for a green card because we ended up getting divorced. I’ve been reading about VAWA, but I’m honestly scared to go that route. My ex never physically hurt me, but there was a lot of emotional and psychological abuse during the marriage. I’m also worried that if I file anything against him, he’ll somehow find out and try to get back at me. Are there any other ways I could get a green card in my situation?
