Joseph E. Day, Esq. (J.D.: Georgetown University Law Center, Bachelor’s Degree: University of Notre Dame) is a partner in the Cedar Rapids firm of Day Rettig Martin, P.C. where he concentrates his practice on labor law (public and private sectors), employee benefits, and employment law.  Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Day served as a Staff Attorney in the national office of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C.. For over a 20-year period, Attorney Day negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreements in four different states for the then National Propane Corporation.  He served as their outside attorney and negotiator in over 15 acquisitions throughout a seven state area.
