Derek Loeser

Firm: Keller Rohrback Law Offices
1201 Third Avenue , Seattle , Washington 98101
Practice Areas: Securities & Investment Fraud
Derek Loeser is a senior member of Keller Rohrback’s nationally recognized Complex Litigation Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He maintains a national practice prosecuting class action and large-scale individual cases, including corporate fraud and misconduct, securities, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) pension and health plan, breach of fiduciary duty, and investment mismanagement cases. Derek has served as lead and co-lead counsel in large, complex cases in state and federal courts around the country.. Derek has been a plaintiffs’ attorney for over 20 years. He has a passion for taking on large corporations and holding them accountable for wrongdoing. Through all stages of litigation, including trial, he has helped recover billions of dollars for consumers, employees, retirees, retirement plans and institutions. Notable cases include the Wells Fargo unauthorized account consumer class action, for which he serves as lead counsel. Derek and the Keller Rohrback team achieved a $142 million settlement that requires Wells Fargo to refund all improper fees, and provide first-of-its kind credit damage reimbursement, among other relief, to Wells Fargo customers. Other notable cases include mortgage-backed securities cases on behalf of the Federal Home Loan Banks of Chicago, Indianapolis and Boston; ERISA class cases on behalf of employees of Enron, WorldCom, Countrywide, and Washington Mutual, among others, whose retirement savings were decimated by corporate fraud and abuse; fraud, RICO, and antitrust cases against drug manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers and insurance companies for conspiring to drive up the cost of life-saving medications, such as insulin and epinephrine (EpiPens).. Derek also represents state and local government entities in a number of matters, including ongoing cases against opioid manufacturers for misrepresenting the safety and efficacy of opioids for chronic pain. The opioid cases are quintessential examples of the type of litigation Derek and the Keller Rohrback team pursue with purpose and passion: corporate fraud and malfeasance causing serious harm to the public.. Many of Derek’s cases have required coordinating with state and federal agencies involved in litigation that parallels cases pursued by Keller Rohrback, including states attorneys general, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Labor. In addition, Derek has extensive experience negotiating complex, multi-party settlements, and coordinating with the many parties and counsel necessary to accomplish this.. Before joining Keller Rohrback, Derek served as a law clerk for the Hon. Michael R. Hogan, U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, and was a trial attorney in the Employment Litigation Section of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences on class actions, ERISA and other complex litigation topics.

Mission Statement: Making wrongs right where your life matters.. I have been representing individuals for over 20 years in what I believe to be the most important and emotionally charged legal matters that an individual can find themselves in: Family Law & Criminal Law. I believe that you have a right to experienced and knowledgeable representation in these important matters involving your life. I understand that whether the matter involves the most important people in your life or your freedom is at stake, you are the one that has to live with any consequences, and it is your future and your family that needs to be fought for and protected.I always let my clients know that I am going to be honest with them about the situation that they are in. In addition, I let my clients know that I will be committed to being respectful and compassionate in my conversations with them, and to carry that commitment into conversations, negotiation, and trial. I believe that, because of that attitude of integrity and straightforward approach, I am more often than not able to achieve wonderful results for my clients. However, not all cases end up being resolved through negotiation, and trial is the natural result. I am not kidding when I tell clients that I have done hundreds of trials. I believe that my strength in trial is being able to identify where the facts don’t line up, identifying what are the most important elements of the story, and identifying successfully the issues for the trier of fact. That is why, more often than not, we are able to make wrongs right, in your life’s matters.

Deric Orr

Firm: Johnson & Orr
1038 Jadwin Avenue , Richland , Washington 99352
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense, Sex Crime, Expungement, Violent Crime
I’m a Tri-Cities native, having graduated from Hanford High School.  In 2009, I graduated from the University of Washington after having to witness entirely too many losing football seasons. At the University of Washington, I majored in English and will never let you forget it. I then went on to attend the University of Illinois School of Law in Urbana-Champaign.. After earning my law degree, I decided to return to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to my family.  I immediately began my legal career at the Benton County Office of Public Defense. I have always been exclusively interested in and committed to the practice of criminal law. While at the Office of Public Defense, I spent time in District Court handling misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors for indigent clients.  After spending a year and a half with the Office of Public Defense, I was hired as an Associate at Mendoza & Johnson, where I expanded from misdemeanors to felony charges and became federally licensed in the Eastern District of Washington.. In 2015, I partnered with Scott Johnson to form the Johnson & Orr Law Firm, where we spent weeks fighting over the logo.. In private practice, I quickly realized that often what separates a good attorney is not necessarily legal prowess, but communication.  Too many attorneys are unable or simply unwilling to allow for transparency, to not only make decisions, but the reasoning behind those decisions. These are difficult choices to make; one that requires a collaborative effort with our clients. It is easy to forget that most everyone seeking legal counsel is enduring one of the most trying times of their life, but it shapes everything. I have always been passionate about my role as an advocate for my clients, and that doesn’t exist in a vacuum at the courthouse.. Outside of my private practice, I hold a position on the Benton & Franklin County Adult Drug Court.  This has provided me an opportunity to secure close ties to the treatment community, while also allowing me to work towards criminal justice reform. I will unabashedly advocate for any all reforms to our justice system and I rarely will bite my tongue about it. I like to believe that advocacy helps guide me in my individual relationships with my client. In addition to this position, I have helped coach the Richland High School Mock-Trial team for the last two years in a futile effort to appear youthful.. I pride myself on honest, clear communication that helps my clients find empowerment by understanding their options. Clients can look forward to accessible representation, vigorous preparation, and effective resolutions. Whether you have been accused of committing a misdemeanor or felony, Johnson & Orr provides skilled representation in a wide variety of criminal law matters.

Derek Radtke

Firm: Radtke Law Firm
2707 Colby Avenue, Ste. 1001 , Everett , Washington 98201
Practice Areas: Jones Act, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death
I started working on personal injury cases just before my last year of law school. I was fortunate to work as an intern for a solo-practitioner, and learned all that I could in my time there, assisting with personal injury cases from intake to completion. This crash course in personal injury was unlike any class in law school. I learned how to work with and advocate for my clients. I’m thankful for the guidance and collegiality I received early on in my career and will pay it forward.. After graduating from Gonzaga School of Law in 1997, I continued handling personal injury matters, almost exclusively, working for two busy law firms over the next 20 years, gaining valuable litigation experience.. I opened my own firm, Radtke Law Firm, in October 2017. My focus and passion remain on plaintiff personal injury law, which allows me to continue to help those that have been wrongly injured by the negligence of others.. If you are hurt because of another's failure to follow a duty, an established rule, or exercise reasonable care you can pursue a personal injury claim to hold them accountable. Holding those negligent accountable leads to greater safety for us all. If you’ve been hurt, contact me for a free consultation.. ----. Derek is admitted to practice in all Washington State Courts, in Federal Court for the Eastern and Western District of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.  Derek is an Eagle Member of the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association).  Outside of law, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, hiking, travelling and attending Husky Football games.
