Since becoming a lawyer in 1993, I have completely dedicated myself and my practice to the defense of those charged with criminal misconduct.  For more than 20 years the vast majority of my practice has been helping people avoid the drastic and often times unfair consequences of a DUI conviction.. To many, a DUI charge feels like an over whelming burden that will drastically changes their lives. It does not have to be.  My practice is founded on the belief that through hard work, preparation, diligence, communication and never giving up, every DUI charge can be beaten. Our results show that in almost every instance, this belief is true.

When you are facing the most difficult time in your life--being accused, you need skilled advocates who have spent their whole lives preparing for the fight of your life.. Mr. Healy and our lawyers at Vindicate Law have a reputation for being the most prepared people in the courtroom. When literally everything you care about: family, freedom, livelihood and reputation are all on the line, you need a lawyer who will go to the ends of the earth and leave no stone unturned while preparing a defense that will convince the Jury to vindicate you and your life.. Police officers, women, children and others often have ulterior motives to lie and fabricate. The jury needs to understand this and understand why this happens. We are extremely skilled in getting juries to understand the how and why false allegations happen all the time. Police officers are specifically trained in how to manipulate the accused in to making false confessions and portraying innocent facts into sounding incriminating.. There are literally tens of thousands of innocent people in prison and most of the time they are there because their lawyer failed to thoroughly investigate was unprepared and unpersuasive and not skilled in the art of cross-examination.. Our lawyers have astounding success in the courtroom. To the point of jurors hugging and crying with the accused in the hallway of the courthouse after the "Not Guilty!" verdict. To the point of jurors sending a note to the judge asking of they can render a verdict against a police officer who fabricated testimony and slammed the accused's head against the car causing injury. These are the moments that our lawyers live for and achieve.. When naming our law firm we spent many, many hours and reviewed literally thousands of options, but chose Vindicate Law Group. According to Webster's Dictionary, "vindicate" is defined as, "to free from allegation or blame" and this is exactly our mission towards each and every client we proudly represent.. Practice Areas

Timothy Lohraff

Firm: Law Office of Timothy Lohraff, P.S.
1001 4th Ave Ste 3200 , Seattle , Washington 98154
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense
I grew up in Michigan and knew I would go to law school after reading a biography of famous Chicago defense attorney Clarence Darrow. His stands for union workers, against the death penalty and his work on behalf of criminal defendants made him my hero.. After getting my undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan I went to law school at the University of Illinois. Following that I clerked for two different judges on the Illinois Supreme Court, Justice Stamos and Justice Miller, and learned a great deal of how the law works in real life.. I moved to Chicago, home of Clarence Darrow, and got my dream job--a public defender at the Cook County Public Defender's Office. I eventually tried over 50 jury cases, winning multiple cases from DUI's to drug, burglary, rape and murder trials. I was offered a position at a leading progressive law firm--People's Law Office-- that worked for innocent clients and sued the Chicago Police Department for false arrest, police brutality and wrongful convictions. I eventually made partner and was successful in getting an innocent client--Aaron Patterson--off death row after he was pardoned by Governor Ryan, following a successful appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court granting him a new hearing.. I was also able to free an innocent man from serving a 48 year prison sentence for a murder he did not commit by showing that he had been framed by a Chicago Police Officer.  His name was Rene Castillo and the case was People v. Castillo, 89 CR 2461.. In 2002 I moved to Seattle to take a job as an Assistant Federal Public Defender. I worked there for six years, winning a rape trial, and successfully getting a number of cases dismissed.. In 2008 I left the Federal Defender's Office to concentrate on my own practice in Federal Court, representing people in trials and appeals to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Since opening my own law firm I have had success in getting one federal charge dismissed completely (US v. Tho Le, CR12-00041RSL) as well as getting a number of charges reduced and sentences greatly lower then called for by the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.
